A Short Cut: multiplying a number with 11

My logic for multiplying a number with 11

While multiplying a two digit number with 11, simply write the first digit at the beginning and second digit at last and in between them write the sum of the two digits.

For example,

27 * 11 = 2 9 7
45 * 11 = 4 9 5

While multiplying a three digit number with 11, simply write the first digit at the beginning and second digit at last and in between them first, write the sum of middle digit and the first digit and then write the sum of middle digit and the last digit.

For example

253 * 11 = 2 7 8 3
222 * 11 = 2 4 4 2
